Gannon University, a Catholic University, seeks to fill the position of a full-time Campus Police Officer, scheduled to work rotating shifts.  The Office of Police and Safety is a 24-hours/day, 7 days/week service-based operation.  The successful candidate will be responsible for patrolling the campus area by motor vehicle or foot, responding to calls for assistance, escort services, providing directions, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.  
 
Requirements include a high school degree/GED and PA Act 120 Certification or equivalence; two years' related experience in law enforcement background is strongly preferred. Knowledge of Commonwealth laws and rules, motor vehicle operations, and personal conduct for students, employees and visitors, and/or modern police practices is required.  Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays and rotating shifts with regularity; must have a valid drivers' license along with a good driving record, be able to lift 75 lbs., and walk or stand for long periods of time.  Must be able to support and promote the University's Mission.
