Memorandum of Understanding
This Memorandum of Understanding is an active accord between the Board of Directors, and members of the:
National Black Police Association, Inc. (US)
and the
National Association of Black Law Enforcement Officers, Inc.
That:
Jointly, the National Black Police Association, Inc./US (NBPA) and the National Association of Black Law Enforcement Officers, Inc. (NABLEO), each of which are organization representing the interests and concerns of criminal justice practitioners of color and their communities, herein agree to work collectively and in coalition on the following issues and concerns impacting the professional services of their several members and the communities they serve.
That they shall support the networking and education of criminal justice practitioners of color and their communities regarding criminal justice policies, practices and procedures that have an adverse affect and impact;
That they shall form an active and continuing dialogue with respect to inclusion and the facilitation working relationships amongst the two organizations.
That they shall encourage the attendance and participation of their chapters and individual members at the Annual National Education and Training Conferences of both organizations;
And to further establish channels of communications, mutual respect, and participation amongst their separate organizations and members.
This Memorandum of Understanding is signed, on behalf of their individual organizations, by the parties listed, have presented in General Session by the Directors of each organization.
